O Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī Prabhu, Crest-jewel of the Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava paramparā,

I offer my humble obeisances at your lotus feet.

You are celebrated throughout the world as the great ācārya of Gauḍīya philosophy. Yet, my dear Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī, I pray to remember you not merely as an unparalleled scholar, but as a *rasika Vaiṣṇava whose scholarship was completely nourished by divine prema*.

You received the mercy of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu through the loving current of Śrī Rūpa and Śrī Sanātana Gosvāmī, and you dedicated your entire life to preserving, protecting, and distributing their teachings.

Through your writings, you gave the Gauḍīya sampradāya a treasury of transcendental knowledge.Through your Ṣaṭ-sandarbhas, you established the deepest truths of sambandha, abhidheya, and prayojana.Through your Gopāla-campū, you opened the door to the intimate pastimes of Śrī Śrī Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa.And through your entire life, you demonstrated that *true knowledge culminates in loving service to the Divine Couple*.

O Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī, I am standing very far away from the purity of heart possessed by you. My intelligence is limited, my devotion is immature, and my heart is still covered by countless anarthas.

Therefore, I do not approach you claiming qualification. I approach you only with hope.

Please bless me with a drop of the mercy that flowed through the hearts of the Six Gosvāmīs.

Please bless me that I may understand the teachings of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu not merely intellectually, but *with faith, realization, humility, and devotion*.

Please bless me that whatever knowledge I acquire may never increase my pride. May it increase my dependence upon guru, Vaiṣṇavas, and Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa.

O Jīva Gosvāmī Prabhu, you protected the treasure of the Gosvāmīs and placed their teachings safely into the hands of future generations.

*Please place even one particle of that treasure into my heart.*

O Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī, you are one of the greatest guardians of the prema-dharma given by Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.

Please bless me that I may become a sincere servant of that same mission.

May whatever little service I perform contribute, even in the smallest way, to the continuation of the mercy of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, Śrī Rūpa Gosvāmī, Śrī Sanātana Gosvāmī, and all the ācāryas of our paramparā.

Please remove from my heart the desire to enjoy, control, or be recognized.

O Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī Prabhu, I have heard that the sādhus, after crossing the terrible ocean of material existence, leave behind the boat of the Lord's lotus feet so that others may cross.

*Please allow me to take shelter of that boat.*

At your lotus feet I place my life, my intelligence, my aspirations, and whatever little service I may be able to render.

Please accept me as an insignificant servant of the servants of your servants.
